If you’re thinking about going on holiday, why not think about going on a family camping trip! People are always so quick to jump on the bandwagon of going to a far-flung destination, or going to a beach location when the best holiday to be had is a camping one. It’s a much more personal experience, and so many people enjoy the fact that it’s a cheaper holiday, with some better experiences. Camping with the family gives you great experiences and allows you to bond that little bit more as a group. It’ll make memories your kids will never forget, without you having to worry about breaking the bank! So, if you’re trying to plan a holiday, let us help you make it a family camping trip!
Getting The Location Right
The location is everything when it comes to a holiday. There aren’t many of you who will just book a holiday, without doing extensive research of the area that you’re thinking of going to. The same is going to apply with a camping holiday. The location that you end up in is going to determine how good your holiday actually is. Plus, it all depends on what you actually want. If you want something tranquil, but with activities to keep the whole family entertained, we recommend that you go for something that’s close to a forest or some sort. There are so many locations for you to choose from, and all of them are more based towards activities, but in a location that’s going to give you that peace and quiet. If you want to go for something that’s like going to a beach destination, but without having to hop on a plane, find a caravan or camping site right next to a luxurious beach. All you need to do is pick the beach or a location that you like, and find a camping site near to it! We love state park camping, but some campsites are even free.

The second stage of this is to make sure you’re packing right. You don’t want to pack too much, as a camping holiday is all about getting back to nature. So packing light in terms of technology is a must. What you do need to take, is little snacks to keep your campers happy. Gluten-free snacks, chocolate bars, fruit, crisps, anything to keep you all happy and full in between meals. Camping can get expensive as you do have to put all of your meals. But, you don’t have to pay the price that you would for a package holiday, so you’re definitely going to save a lot of money here. You also need to take things such as camping equipment. Lights, tent, sleeping bag, blow up mattress, whatever you want to take to make your experience more comfortable.
