The Best Straightener for Curly Hair. (GIVEAWAY)

This post is sponsored by xtava, but as always the opinions in the post are my own.

With thick curly hair like mine, it can be ridiculous to tame. I have used straighteners since I was in my teens. Check out the awesome xtava Infrared Straightener by clicking here.

I stopped straightening my hair because I didn’t like the way other straighteners made my hair look. I decided to try xtava and I was impressed. It is the first infrared straightener I’ve ever used.

Arrival:

When it arrived it came with a thermal carrying case, instructions, and a card that gives all of their contact information. I got really eager to try it so don’t mind my weirdness. I ordered off of Amazon Prime and received it within two days. Get your free trial of Amazon Prime here.

My hair type:

My hair, as you can kinda tell in the photo above is not straight. It is usually really wavy. I also have extremely thick hair. I was ready to put this cute straightener up to the test. It has several different heat settings perfect for thin hair to thick hair. My hair is currently damaged due to excessive hair dying (its an addiction of mine. haha).

Initial use:

I turned it up all the way up to 410° F. It took about three minutes for the straightener to warm up completely. Once warmed up I took it to my hair.  It was so simple. One stroke and that hair piece was straight. What? Is this how straighteners are supposed to work? I’ve always had to go over the strand a bajillion time to get it completely straight.

End thoughts:

It took me about twenty minutes to straighten my hair. (Insert gasp face here). Plus, my hair was super soft. I am in heaven with this new straightener. Infrared is the way to go! Make sure to enter the giveaway below! No purchase necessary to win! ♥
